Down in Bournemouth Chris...twas a great place...I understand it's still around and has had a bit of a face-lift...we should all go on an old-school roadtrip: ROM, Slades, Harrow, Southsea....could be fun!

cool pics dave,
we should get a meet down there as slades farm park has tarmac around the the top instead of mud now, and only five mins up the road you have the new kingspark skate park which is rad ......
That bowl at slades is soooo tight, lived down that way in 92 and skated there, my brother bust his wrist doing a rocknroll on it.Also met the legend steve geal down there and he was doing nose picks in that bowl :idiot2:
so come on peeps lets get a session down there while we still can bend :LolLolLolLol:

One of the best pics I ever had from a magazine was Tim March doing a one footed flattie out of Slades Farm bowl (well I think it was). One of the first OBMX mags I reckon?
Should make the effort to go there. I've never been :-[

Proper early 80's style air... :daumenhoch:
Hi Stodgy
That's me in the photo.. this is just before I slipped in the wet bowl and broke my nose and you and your friend (was his nickname Beaky?) took me home with an oily rag to stem the blood. I spent the night with concussion but was back on my GT the very next day! We built a tombstone onto the centre of the bowl about a year later in the dead of night, which allowed us to air right out the middle rather than the sides..
