Thanks to everyone who helped me with this project. Big shout to:
Burnaliser, Firebird, Ratty, Craigmisfitsat101(sp), Snav69, I wish I kept My TA.
I finally opted for the full on Elliot replica. Now with Sugino chainring and double clamp stem. black fluted seatpost has gone and has been replaced with a chrome one.
Postie is still to bring me the proper rat trap pedals and a pre-bent lever. Just to finish it off.
Anyhow, without further ado...

im not trying to be funny about the tyres or picky either i just think it would look so much better with comp 3s ,cheng shins or wilkos ,i dont like the black tyres, everything else puka :4_17_5:
-
69er i agree, but then it wouldn't be a replica! :LolLolLolLol:
I also have all the bits to make it up like the ET Kuwahara original, which does have gumwall tyres on.
But prefer the Idea of having it the same as Elliots rather than the bike that came out after the film.
-

Flaz, suppose that would be a variation on a side-hack. :LolLolLolLol:
-
do they go wromp wropm wromp when you ride?
They is proper old school Cheng Shin knobbies, I had them on my first bike, then a set of Tioga MX's before getting some Mongoose Snakebelly's. They make a great sound when ridden on concrete, just as you describe :daumenhoch:

I'll find out tomorrow!

-
nice build jim, looks well ace.
what the fook is it with that bike though. that's no looptail he's on, thats a normal KZ witha et paintjob, a shit neck too. replica my arse, i thought it was the same bike as the film. did anybody allready know this??
-
Great job love it :daumenhoch:
Townshend's right the E.T. bike in the film is a regular KZ-1 and not a looptail but who cares great job anyway.
I have the Stem that's angled forward like the one in the picture that actually came off an old E.T.
From bodamus ;)
-
Again, thanks for the comments.
I know the one in the film is the KZ1 but didn't know until I had bought the frame and got it painted. After watching the film for research purposes noticed that it was a non-looptail.
Bodamus wanna sell the stem?
