Hayes would be good, just up the road from me and you could all get to meet the legends that are Uncle Buck and Tony DaButcher  :LolLolLolLol:

Plus a couple of the jumps are massive and not for the faint hearted

I heard that Jumping John Oakins cleared them on his old Supergoose on his first run out over the doubles  ;D

there's a South regional on the 11th of March, it would make sence to have it then. The gate is there, the computer is there and some one to operate it for the moto sheets, first aid and so on.. I know there's an old school class set up on the system, it just never gets used because no one ever turns up to race old school.

Just set your bring and buy tables up for traiding and letching. There will be loads of current racers there who are 'old school' so there will be loads of interest in the bikes and bits on display.

If any one is interested I'll mention it to Bucky and get things organised.

If any one wants to have a sneeky peek and see they are letting themselves in for here's the directions: http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?lat=51.5112&lon=-0.4325&scale=25000&icon=x (http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?lat=51.5112&lon=-0.4325&scale=25000&icon=x) The club are usually there on a Saturday from about 11-2 so you can get parked up trackside. :daumenhoch:

Miles.

hayes are always happy to have an old school gate as long as there are enough riders.

a bit tough though if you wanna run ya cruiser and an old shool bike as well, and as for the first lot of jumps.................

well on an old school be prepared. :2funny: :2funny:

A recent survey showed that old school bmxers make more use of the catering facilities at an event than any other section of society!

Nothing to do with the fact that Hayes do the best trackside catering then??  And the fact that most Old Skool riders live on a diet of fried food??  Tell me I'm wrong someone!!  Humps

I8 pre 1980
8 -80 to 85
8 85-90

8 mid schoolers

Anyone shed any background to the HAWK race frames,  I've got a F20EX which I bought from Edwardes about six years ago and I saw them available through Dan's Comp around that time.  I believe Edwardes imported some for their race team some years previous and this was a leftover from that time.  Apart from their unusual square aluminium construction did they have any good features which set them apart from other frames of their time - and what dates did their manufacture span??

Without said information I can't be sure where my ride would fit in.  Not a single response when I asked this question on here before, so trying again.  Humps

Can't wait, I love watching old school racing. Much more unpredictable than ns stuff, but I put that down to the size of the bars. ;)

The missus will have given birth to future of english BMX by then, so I can give it it's first lesson in history. :)
