i bought Dordy daves TA earlier this year with black tuffs on it i fancy putting some of those kenda whitewall tyres on it
ive heard the purists mention its not the done thing , but i remember my mates way back then had em on and they looked pretty funky -whats the general opinion fellas
also for meetings like epic am i right in assuming these tyres will be slippy as hell??
please discuss - heres a poor picture of the bike - crap camera

Your right Whitewalls are useless for riding especially when it's wet but I always liked the look of them and plenty of people had them back in the day. I have a set on my Curtis Freestyler and a set on my Quadangle.
I say be different stick a pair on.
From bodamus ;)

thanks bodamus i value your opinion :daumenhoch:

i agree with ian, they look the muts, bitd we used them for indoor riding-racing then sprayed with hair spray for grip :idiot2: crap for outdoor use but looks out weighed performance ;)

I rode with white walls back in the early 80's. Still think they look ace on the right bike :daumenhoch:
-
For black tuffs i think white walls are THE only tyre! they look the nuts!
I rode them on my Beat at Epic earlier this month (i say ride in the losest sense) :LolLolLolLol:
But they were sticky enough for me :daumenhoch:
-
I's say go with them :daumenhoch:
Bitd I used to run a pair of whitewalls that had a similar tread pattern to a Tioga FS tyre, they weren't that bad on concrete but pants in the wet and don't even ask about Earls Court :LolLolLolLol:
-
yeah put a set on it.
i'll buy the old un's back off ya then lol.
