Can anyone date an SE Assassin i've just got?no lugs(only takes caliper brake)and 1 inch threaded headset.frame no AS0754.

Any info appreaciated.

Does it have a hole through the seat tube for a lower brake??

If anyone still has the link to the old Alans site I think he had a couple on there like the one you describe

the top tube is pierced by the seat tube jmc/gt style, but is much longer,diagonally cut with a stamped "se"plate welded on the end and has a sleeved hole to take a caliper brake.the lower wishbone also has a sleeved hole to take something like a pitbull brake.rear dropouts are the same design as the later rippers/quads.any thoughts?

Late 80s,  early 90s...   

The drop outs from old Assassins where used on the later cromo Quads...
