Title: 1985 GHP Pro 1
Post by: dancetothedrummersbeat on May 02, 2018, 05:10 PM: I bought this last summer from Ant factory pilot, who kindly agreed to sell it. He had already built it, and had done an amazing job. Here's his mega build thread from 2016, and photo of how he had it

I loved it as it was, but wanted to tweak it to suit my taste, so I bought it about 80% complete and he kept/sold the rest of the parts.

Here are the parts I changed.

brakes - Single rear gold MX 1000 and shimano lever swapped for dia compe polished MX 1000 front & rear, with dia compe tech 4 levers, and 85 dated dia compe cables.
seat - Yellow shot gun 1 seat changed to a yellow shot gun 2.
stem - Red suntour style stem changed to silver pro neck II.
tyres - new/reissue comp 3 changed to grey label comp 3.
headset - standard Tioga style change to Tange 320 in chrome, and gold suntour headset lock changed to red Tange headset lock.
clamp - gold suntour changed to red suntour.
pedals - Hutch beartrap changed to Shimano DX.
plate - Haro colour plate changed to Haro B1 plate.

Dia Compe MX 1000 calipers, tech 4 levers and dated dia compe cables - all dated 1985.
Tange 320 headset
Tange headset lock
Pro Neck II stem
GHP Padset (repro)
Haro B1 plate (re-issue)
Cycle Pro Shot Gun II seat, dated '85
Kashi allen key guts
unbranded cro-mo seatpost
Suntour clamp
Weinmann rims
Suzue high flange hubs
Mitsuboshi/Tioga comp 3 tyres with grey label - era correct for an '85 build
Shimano 16T freewheel
Suntour chaninring
Sugino crank
Sugino spider
Shimano DX pedals
