Just because they're nice to look at, and it would be cool to see what people have done with a lot of the OS brands releasing modern versions of classics. Would also be good to give Rich Clean some reference material for his adventure into Retro...
Post 'em up!

Oops ..... Saw the other haro and Skyway and misread... Sorry chaps :-[

But they have 1 1/8th headsets and proper brakes :daumenhoch:

I know the Knight goose frame is rare due to the amounts made but what are the realistic chances of getting one these days and do they have specific forks? ???
-
They were just a frame, no forks you just use Whatever ones you want.
Very very hard to get as they only made 10 of each.

Yeah and the two i've owned took a Herculean effort to extract from the US owners in the first place. As far as I know there is only one park bike (mine which was originally George's own bike, the owner of Knighbikes), the prototype (Rob's) and 3 race frames in the UK (my old white one that Ade has now, the stunning blue one that was in the Retro category at last year's MK and Martin's black one with the Red Tuffs that was the first one I ever saw at MK about 5 or 6yrs ago). If anyone knows of another one, let me know :daumenhoch:
-
That stunning blue one is a park frame Spen and owned by Derek Spicer. Absolutely superb build that in my eyes should've walked the retro category last year

Commuter this morning.
Will hopefully end up with blue grips and Blue BM7 pedals but wanted survivor look rather than buying brand new re-pops.

Nice bike with the best view of London :daumenhoch:

Cheers mate, that day was a 10 mile each way trip. Best bit was going down the hill after the observatory - worst bit also on the way back.
I'm living in kent now so stick the bike in the boot and park up somewhere nearer work. Decided Charlton was near enough Shoreditch but I doubt I'll do it again anytime soon. Normally I park in a cheap carpark by Canary Wharf which is much easier on the legs.
Enjoyed riding through Blackheath and Greenwich though as it was where I spent a lot of my childhood bmxing in the 80s.

***seeing as we now have a dedicated section for retro & re-issue bikes, i thought iād move this old thread of retro & re-issue loveliness here. Enjoy!!***

My 2015 PK Ripper custom. Frame, forks, bars, seat, seat post, grips and brake lever were on the 2015 bike. All other parts replaced to replicate the blue and silver look I loved in the early 80's. 50th anniversary Tuffs had to be imported from Australia as they'd all sold out in the UK when I built this.
The bike on the wall is as it is now. The photo in front of the fire place was before a few minor changes.

This is my Skyway TA 24 custom build. Now up for offers if anyone fancies it.
