So, your Rad team have been discussing MK17 for a while and buzzing to announce that we are back for 2017.......
MK17 will be held on August the 19th and 20th at MK BMX track, where MK BMX Club are extremely happy to host us yet again.
There will be further announcements regarding MK17, including what to expect, other than the largest collection of Old & Mid School BMX's seen to man, ramps provided by the one and only Radii Ramps and of course the famous Dog and Duck.
This year Griff has secured discount rates for a nearby hotel, so rather than phone them now, await a password to claim a big discount on published charges - again, DO NOT PHONE UNTIL GRIFF GIVES THE DETAILS !
And one last and very important notice - We are working very hard, to bring you some special guests this year, which will not be cheap, so we will be asking for donations (probably a fixed amount) to help us fund the whole event - Those that do participate will get entered into a prize draw, so you could win something very very nice ! 1) Call 01908 681000
2) Say you would like a room (twin beds or a double with sofa bed) for 18th and/or 19th August, as part of the RADBMX group booking
3) Give nice lady your card details to secure the booking - no money taken at this stage
4) Pay on arrival at hotel
Simple! Booking this way will save you over £80 per room over the weekend and as we have ALL the twin rooms in the hotel allocated better move quick if you want one.
In theory you have until 28th July to book, but since it's first-come-first served I wouldn't advise hanging about
Hotel has free wifi, parking and breakfast including bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and beans (+ continental selection)

Haha, I was trying to figure out a way to do both, come to mk Saturday, then sleep over and head to retro rides on the Sunday morning . But it's too much to do that so MK it is.
Shes been to a fair few ride outs and loves all the lads and lasses from the bmx scene that we've became friends with.

Of course mate .. Just turn up on Sunday and have a good look at all the show and shine bikes! There's also racing on the Sunday and the raffle too.
There wil be people selling parts and Biagio is normally there selling some great parts ( if not cheap ) and JT and Joff with some bargains .., Del's also usually there for all your decal needs fistblump

I am just about to order my ticket.This will be my first time here as something as always cropped up before.Anyone travelling down the m6 past Stoke on Trent on the Saturday morning I tag along with.Any good advice on parking as will be sleeping in my van and after a day on the sherberts I do want to find it again to rest my head :LolLolLolLol:

Access is free from Sunday morning onwards, no need to register
If you have a bike (or bikes) to enter in show and shine though you'll need to register those - wristband holders don't need to pay for this

Only been to MK15 and it was holiday for me, went down Friday stayed at the holiday inn and near premier inn drinking all night , camped saturday. You wouldn't book a holiday and start looking for your passport a few days you are due to go away and sort out travel arrangements,
Maybe people just saw the date announced at the beginning of the year and that was that, no need to go on radbmx forum or facebook page.
Can't wait for this year, gutted Tony/Torkerdude180 can't make it, it wont be the same but gonna make sure he doesnt feel like is missing it, I was suppose to be travelling down with him and rooming, but had offers and support from the radlads :smitten:

Am I correct to assume it's ok to bring portable camping cooker for the weekend? I saw last year people using BBQ's so I assume it's ok if used off the ground thinking of safety.
Here's a reminder of site rules etc - we'll be handing out an info sheet with this and also event timings along with your wristbands (we're getting organised :teef: )
FIRST AID
The first aid area is well signposted and available at all times, but if you need them in a hurry you can call them on 07376 044179
FIRE SAFETY
No fires permitted & BBQs must be kept off the grass to avoid scorching it, we need to keep everyone safe and ensure that we are allowed to return again. Assembly point in case of emergency is by the ramps, if fire-fighting equipment is needed it can be found in the main show tent and camping areas. Fire points are at the end of each row and if you need to raise the alarm please use the whistles provided.
RUBBISH
Place ALL your rubbish in the skips please, don’t leave it for someone else to pick up. Remember that we are very privileged to be MK BMX’s guests, so let's leave their home how we found it - clean and tidy!
