Title: Skyway TA XL '84 PEDAL UPDATE BOTTOM OF PAGE 2
Post by: Jaymz on August 23, 2016, 03:25 PM
Fresh back from MK, I've thrown this together like an excited child on Christmas morning!!
Being me Im desperate to avoid the blue/red colour schemes of every other TA so thrown black grips and pedals in, will replace pedals but with something more era correct [some sort of bear traps maybe? suggestions?] in black to keep the slighty non matching theme

Spec
October 1984 TA XL F and F
UKAI Speedlines
Braised bars Unknown make huge rise and width
Black AME Rounds
Jay neck stem and Jay flex fighter
Nos dc caliper with DC pads and stays
DC Tech lll with red lever grip
Shotgun ll seat
Tuf neck clamp and chainwheel 44t
Comp lll
Still need a straight chrome post and pedals (mks grafites 2000 fitted). Was sure I had them both hidden away but can't find either
Padset en route.

Padset update.

Welcome to the 'club', Jaymz  :coolsmiley: Great to finally catch up at the weekend, although briefly.

Its also good to see you not going down the 'Patriot' path, so to speak.

I have some 1/2" Suntour Beartraps kicking around I don't think I will use again, and I may have some genuine stamped old school posts too, if that helps any  ???

Be nice to see one in freestyle colours if you have something in the parts bin. I went for a roll around on mine for an hour earlier. First time in two years. They ride lovely. :)

Spokes are awesome.

Ive got a packet of red Flite donuts unopened, you can have them of you like, they'd bring the seat and grips together nicely IMHO.  :daumenhoch:

Fitted some scabby XC'S today off JT. Lightly rubbed over with a rag. Might satin black the cages.

Yup keep looking at em on the bay. Can never quite justify the £200-300 on one of those dinky table top jobbies.
Perfect for a bit of ali bodging but collecting the keys to a new house in a week or so  :-\

must behave..... For now  ;)

Fortunate enough to have 2 spare rooms so me and misses ace can have a play room each. Plans already afoot for a serious man shed  ;)
