Title: Postage from USA
Post by: chrisv39 on May 18, 2016, 08:51 PM
I've tracked my frame that has been posted from the USA by USPS. Last tracking update was last Friday when it left Heathrow airport. Does anyone know who takes over from there or could it be any courier?

It's possibly on hold in customs bud.
While Royal Mail or parcel force works out how much to hit you with import duty..
They will post out a dreaded silver card or letter to pay online with the cost to pay before they
post item !! :knuppel2:

Oh dear! Buying cheap off the museum might not turn out to be the bargain I thought it was then.

Don't know yet I've just tracked it to my local parcel force depot where it says a letter has been sent telling me how much I owe in customs charges :'(

Got the dreaded letter today. Charges of £55 for a f&f which cost me £75. With postage and these charges it comes in at £185. A valuable lesson learned for me today, would have been better off buying from the UK.

Yeah bud I'm going to try and get something back. I've paid the charges as I need the labels from the package to send off to them to claim. I knew they'd be charges but it seems a bit excessive. My first build and my bank accounts emptying at an alarming rate! But I'm powerless to stop it happening, think I need to go into work tomorrow and ask for some overtime looks like I'm going to need it skint 1
