Hi.
Don't know why, but I really fancy a trickstar 2. Does anyone have a rough idea on what they sell for nowadays for frame and forks? It would be for powdering so condition isn't important. There is a nice one on the bay, but that has gold plated areas and he wants £450.
Does anyone know as well what pegs fit the forks? Are they spinner type pegs or different. Once I have a rough idea I'll stick up a post in the wanted section and I might either trade or let go of my 95 haro sport.
Cheers for any help and all the best, Jonathan :)

I love the look of the Trick Star 2. Futuristic styling. :coolsmiley: Must be a rare bike to find. :-\ Be nice to see one of these in a build thread. :daumenhoch: No help on price though. :-[

Glad I'm not the only one that likes them :) I don't like the decals for them though so would have to get del on the case :daumenhoch:

I like them too, know of a couple in UK but neither are for sale., I also like the windstylers and excels
-
I had a windstyler and an excel, but I have a thing for twin top tubes. I think the excel was better than the windstyler if I remember :daumenhoch:

There's one on FB for £425

Think the eBay & fbook one is the young Kappys, was a decent price cor one I thought. Mate in oz just paid about 600 for one the same
-
i bought a frame off here for £125 but does need some work as it had a couple of repairs and extra bits welded on. i was never that keen on them when they came out, i actually thought it looked quite shit. ;D but at the price i got it for i thought it was worth a go. after receiving it i started to warm to it more and i'm looking forward to building it now.

One of the fugliest frames out there! I reckon £3-400 although I wouldn't wanna pay that :-\
-
Thanks for the info guys. I thought around £300 - £350 would be OK, but £400 can buy a lot of other nice old school frames. There are two on bmxmuseum but they are asking $700 - $800 so I was wondering if they had gone up in value since I last had a look. :)

Everything on the museum seems to have gone up in the last year! :daumenhoch:

i thought all bmx stuff has gone up , blimey even burners go for 400 quid now . why anyone would pay that amount of money who knows

I thought everything had gone quiet not seen many cool frame sets in the for sale section and nothing on eBay really either. Maybe I've just missed all the good stuff. I'm looking now at all the frame sets I can get for £400 and the choice is between a 80s ripper, 95 sport and a trickster 2. The ripper is favourite for now but I still have a hankering for twin top tube lovelyness :)

don't try riding a TS2 as the chainstays snap just looking at them, they came in some great candy colours though :daumenhoch:

I had one years ago now

I'm a big fan of Hutch, and I also like things that are a bit different... BUT I've never had any love for the Trickstar II. Sorry :'(
But that's what makes this hobby great - variety. There's something for everyone :daumenhoch:
Whatever you like, find it, build it ride/show it, but most of all ENJOY it! :4_17_5:

Cracking frames, especially if you ride them....
-
Don't know what it is but I really like them :) eamons red one looks lovely, but I thought they were cheaper than the £300-£400 mark. I just picked up a rough 80s ripper with copy landing gears for £230 so it looks like I'm building a race bmx now.
Thanks for the info chaps much appreciated :daumenhoch:

I did like mine but they were weak! Stuck an axle inside the tubes, had it welded and powder coated and lasted for years after that
