I was 12 in 1985, rode my BMX all the time and nagged my dad into taking me to the Kellog's BMX competition in Birmingham in 1985. I think we went every day.
Anyway here are a few of my photos from the freestyle. I've got loads if I can just locate them! Lots of the late, great Neil Ruffell here.

I am sure these are from Birmingham too, possibly practise as the riders aren't wearing their full gear?

Really cool pics and can't believe how clear they are for 80's pics! Your dad must of had a top notch camera at the time. Plenty of people build Neil Ruffell replica street beats and these kind of pics will be invaluable to some people....keep 'em coming! oh and welcome to the forum by the way!

Dad and I were using a Praktika MTL-5 with a 200mm lens. These scans are actually pretty lousy to be honest, the prints look better and I will have the original negatives.
If they're really useful to people building replica bikes, I can host higher resolution versions online? Especially once I find the negatives :)
Going to do a bit of digging at my mum's house over Christmas because I am certain there are a lot more photos.
