Like most council estate kids BITD all i ever knew was the humble Raleigh Burner, ever since getting back into this hobby i've wanted to recreate my old bike but just never got round to it. Over the last few years i've been getting bits and pieces here and there and all i need to do now is get the frame, forks, bars and stem cap off to Dan for painting :daumenhoch:
The donor frame, forks and bars are from an Extra Burner which was actually given to me! :4_17_5:
It will become a Catalogue special Burner GS :slayer:

Like this but mine was a Gen 2 with the velcro nylon pads rather than the vinyl ones in the advert.

At times like this I wish you'd post up a pic of that red bike ::)
Should be a nice looking ride that Rob
-
Looking forward to this one Rob. Did you get sorted out with a seat clamp in the end?
-
I had one of these back in the day, the grips were seriously unpleasant, my hands have never truly recovered. I hope you don't have original ones for this build :)
Can't wait to see it finished.....
-
:LolLolLolLol: yes they are particularly unpleasant ;D same as grifter grips

love your old picture though mate :daumenhoch:
It looks like you are coming off it after trying to lift it off the ground ;D
Great pic though :daumenhoch:
Don't build that on your decking though Rob. You will need sturdy ground when it's complete
-
;D i've got the builders in at the weekend to reinforce it :daumenhoch:

Ahh... A burner build....❤❤ looking forward the finished job...
Good man Rob...👍
