Title: What size socket for front female hubs?
Post by: paulb113 on March 19, 2015, 08:38 PM
Just got some new wheels and the socket I usually use for the front is too small and the one I use for the rear is too big. I found a long allen key and managed to tighten up a bit, I run front pegs so couldn't tighten enough
Thanks :daumenhoch:

Paul, for future reference if the socket you are using doesn't fit, try another one. Usually try a bigger one works I find. Obviously the opposite applies if the socket you are currently using just spins round, just try a smaller one........ :crazy2: >:D  :2funny:

I only have two sockets!!! The one I used for the front was a long spark plug one. My Dad found me a 17mm one, most of his sockets are in old school sizes. Never had female hubs before.
