Just added this little stunner to my collection !
Its a super rare 1977 pre production Torker MX big bike with un-drilled forks and un-drilled break bridge
-
Nice bit of history there :daumenhoch:

... and check out the rear drops. Very cool pick-up.

Great bike mate, would I be on the right lines this was the very start of the Torker bikes, in the late 70's vidoe's online everyone was racing Schwinn bikes in CA would these have been the evolution from those early machines ?

Top score dude! :4_17_5: Amazing to see such an early survivor & fully built too. This was the beginning of it all!.Does it have Johnson engineering on the headtube decal & any close up pics?
This was the only Torker frame known as an MX.
Now maybe people will stop calling their LP's Torker MX's! :knuppel2: ;D

Sweet bike. What do you mean by pre-production?

Sweet bike. What do you mean by pre-production?
pre production bikes were the 1s that were made before they went out for sale to the public..
the pre production came with a non drilled rear brake bridge and it was decided during testing to drill the brake bridge to allow for brake calapers and not run them as a foot brake only bike ..
took me a while to find out all this info I talked to a lot of people that was involved with torker at the time but it was worth the hunt...
