Right I would like to get your thoughts on this !
Seems to be two cracks, one either side of the gusset plates ?
I take it that its had a hard landing at some point and the welding had cracked !
So best way around it ? It would be painted, but would the crack show if ridden ?
Safe to ride in your eyes
What would it take to fix ? Or would it be needed to be fixed ?
Cheers B

Down tube joint seems fine so i say ride it unless you plan some serious ramp stuff :daumenhoch:
-
Ride it as it is B, go off a few kerbs, you'll soon realise it's future. :daumenhoch:
-
I wouldn't rule out a couple of spots of weld working from the inside of the plate just to secure it, failing that send to the main man. ... :daumenhoch:
-
Cheers Dan, give me hope or fear of hell :LolLolLolLol:
Yer a couple of weld spots might do the trick
But I would ride hard ( like I do anyway ) so it might be fine !
But it's always nice to get some others thoughts on it - cheers Guys
Anyone else is welcome to chip in :D

Looks like a tidy, honest survivor to me. Nice find :)

Let's hope it all works out !

lots of them add on gussets crack there . not big deal. quick fix .
-
Thats an easy fix, grind off as much of the old paint around there, then bevel the crack so you get good penetration and get it welded up. No dramas . Nice frame btw
-
Clean all the paint off that area, polish the area with a stainless wire brush on a drill and any TIG welder will repair it easily.
I wouldn't paint it with the cracks for sure, otherwise just from normal frame flex it will be visible again near on straight away.

take the decal off to or it ll get burned on which is annoying.
