Title: Using bumper black on black tuff wheels....
Post by: bigfatolly on November 06, 2014, 07:44 PM
I have a set of Tuffs coming that need a bit of a clean and a light resto but probably not bad enough to warrant dyeing.
Just wondered if anyone has tried bumper black?
I remember using a gel type one when I had my MK1 Golf GTI that used to bring the faded black trim up a treat ,albeit for only a few weeks.
Just wondered if anyone had ever tried it?
Might have some in the shed so will give it a go when they come...

I used WD40 wiped on/off with a cloth on a tired old set once, obviously swerving the braking area at all costs.  "nono"

They looked mint.

I've used holts back to black in the past and it seams to work fine.  Just bear in mind it tends to sit on the surface and will wash off with soapy water.
