A few months ago, I spotted this frame and fork for sale on Museum and a couple of Facebook pages, but I didn't want to take on another build as I was have ran out of room at home to store bikes.
I tried to hold off for as long as I could, and after making a couple tough decisions to sell off a few other items I had stashed away, i had suddenly free'd up a bit of cash and more importantly storage space at home. A deal was then struck and the Amtrac was on its way down under.
For those of you who dont know, this is the signature frame from Charlse Townsend who had ridden for Robinson since 1991 after riding for companies such as Hutch, Revcore, CW, Cyclecraft and later for other companies such as Powerlite, Diamond Back and many more.
I always admire how Townsend raced and loved the his signature bikes too, especially this model with its super sexy welds. The team of welders at GT in the 90's were pure craftsman.
If you're at the KNOX show n shine in a couple weeks, it'll be on display there. Come say hello.
Here's some pics.

There is a show in Melbourne, Australia in a couple weeks called the KNOX show n shine.
It runs as part of one of the biggest race meetings outside of the State Championships, so i thought i would just show race bikes. I'm going with an America themed display as I'll be showing my Captain America themed Haro Monocoque, the Robbo and my ACE Holeshot which I'm racing to get it ready in time.
Here's a quick preview.

Cheers guys, when I get the ACE finished, I'll post some better pics in its own thread.

Three cool bikes :4_17_5:
Good luck at the show :daumenhoch:
What camera do you use as those Robo pics are crystal clear 8)

The pics are just taken with my IPad. Lol
I just wait for a nice sunny or slightly overcast day and that seems to work pretty well. I've been meaning to get a proper digital camera but buying one of them is too confusing for me.

AMTRAC best race model name ever.
Lovely bikes those - the paint job on the Haro is awesome. Did you do it?
-
Nah, a good mate of mine did the airbrushing, I'm not that talented.
It's a tribute build to a bike that appeared on the January 1997 edition of BMX Plus.
