The top row is months. There is a dot above each number. Where the dots stop, or the number does not have a dot above it, that is the year. Equally, the bottom row is months. The number with the least amount of dots around it is the month :)
The dot on this one stops at '2'. The 3 has no dot making it 1983.

The one I have bought Terry has a dot above the 7 and the 8 , 9, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, have no dots above so this seat is a 79 and has no holes with glue residue where suede was stuck to it,
another question is what sort of suede do I need, faux suede or normal suede and do I use contact adhesive to fix it to the seat ?

Take a close up picture of the date code buddy and I will at least tell you the year :daumenhoch:
The smaller numbers are hard to get a good close up of unless you have real good camera (I only have my phone lol)
