Title: chrome restoration
Post by: einarrson on August 22, 2006, 09:32 AM
Just got a second hand Expert off ebay.  The chrome isnt too bad - just a little scratched and minor rust in places.  What's the best method for bringing the chrome back to it's former glory.

Also what's the best way to remove all the stubborn fragments of old decals.

Oxalic acid is top stuff for removing rust from chrome  ;)
I usually find that a rag with white spirit or similar is also good from removing stubborn decals.

Autosol and elbow grease works a treat.
