Title: Polishing plastic?
Post by: Bfellows on November 10, 2013, 03:29 PM
Whats best bet for returning plastic to a high gloss finish other than rubbing it up my arse crack for two years?  I'm niceing a few bits and bobs up and so far have gone 600, then 1200 wet and dry followed by autosol, brasso and T cut and most of the Audi car care autoglym kit.  Not a million miles from high gloss, but not quite.

I'm doing this by hand as not to chance melting anything, so wondered what anyone else had used before I head of to Halfords......

Thanks as always

Bert

Just work through with finer grade wet and dry

800-1000-etc you can go as fine as 3000

The finer you go the better the finish will be

Then finish with t cut and polish:daumenhoch:

Also try a Goddards polishing cloth - that will put a shin on it - works on smoothing plastic's up very well  ;)
