Ok so as most know I like the odd bit of SE stuff, not just the bikes but everything else that goes with it and have a couple of decent contacts / friend state side who help me out with some of the rare and cool stuff 8) For me this hoby goes way deeper than just building a couple of bikes every now and then but it's the history, the research and the memorabillia that makes it cool for me.
Anyway I have a few SE Racing bits that have previously been unseen by folk on here, it's not the sort of thing I'd ever take to MK for risk of damage or drunken missplacement ::) so the only other thing to do is share some of it on here and hope you enjoy it :daumenhoch:
1st up is a real gem and mega rare piece of SE's history because without it there would be no SE. This original document is the actual buisness proposal sent out to potential investors from Scot in 1977 to help him start SE Racing.
This 20+ page proposal was sent to Oakley founder Jim Jannard 8)

Gold is right !
For me SE oozes old school for me more than any of the brands . I think it's down to the colour schemes . The camo's the browns blues and golds
Love my se bikes
Good score . Proper history right there
-
History indeed!
I might be being a dope here, but in the bike list there is a PK Ripper and a Ripper listed....
What's the difference between them (apart from 0.5lbs!)
:)
-
Glad you like it, the proposal is just insane I was reading some of it last night and the content is fantastic :4_17_5:
You should see what else I robbed from Scots pad ::)
Totally agree with you Craig, SE was always ahead of the pack when it came to the racers, kit, bikes and generally having a great time. Would have loved to hang out on the team bus ;D

The Ripper started out in 1978 as the BD-III (Breithaupt Developments 3rd phase) the 3rd mini frame Scot designed, then in 79 it was re named the DB IV ( after team rider Derek Brown) then in 80 serial numbers were introduced and named the 'Ripper' and then onto the Mini Ripper :daumenhoch:
-
Now that is Rad !
-
Top Stuff there Ash ... :daumenhoch:

No bad I suppose :-\

Matt I was thinking about bringing a whole heap of my unseen SE goodness to MK this year but seeing as I'll be doubtful to make it, it looks like it'll be locked away for another year. I do have a very nice display at my work though :P
-
Now this is real history 8)
:coolsmiley:
-
Those concept drawings are the mutts cnuts :smitten:
Amazing stuff.....this forum never stops surprising me :4_17_5:
Totally agree with ya dude it's about the whole package of memoribilia that surrounds bmx rather than 'just the bikes'
What you have right there is pure BMX history and without it our beloved pastime may have taken completely different directions.
Scot Enterprises..totally RAD stuff mate :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
Amazing rider, entrapreneur, designer and show off..the coolest of the cool 8)
-
Awesome stuff Ash , just real history from the early days ! ;) :4_17_5:
-
A cool bike or part is nice to own but to have the whole package and then some is just unreal.
Very very cool indeed Ash. I've often wondered what you will do with all this important stuff when it's time to let go of it. It really needs to stay intact as a collection.
Adam
-
Adam it'll be handed down to my kids :daumenhoch: unless I get bored with it all and some VERY deep pockets heads my way ;D
Pleased folk are liking the stuff :4_17_5: it's not everyday or ever that things like this come onto an open forum and I could'nt think of a better place to share it all first :daumenhoch:
Another concept drawing

And something that is simply the holy grail of SE jerseys. This is the absolute 1st ever official SE Factory Team Jersey, hand made for Scot by M&M. Beyond cool 8) 8)
