just standard lookin comp III's... :-\
-
No labels whatsoever...? Not a trace...?!
Weird...
Maybe they went through a phase of not being arsed to print them.
-
Was this a silly question? ???
-
Somewhere on them will be a manufacturer mark. Its normally moulded into the sidewall.
-
Deffo Tioga/mitsuboshi judging by the other marks, maybe these were OEM tyres ???
-
yep, printed on them is all the usual mitsubushi competition III print, but no markings for the year, and no label!
-
i got a pair of mitsi ones myself with no label on em.
always thought they were seconds or something lol.
-
they definately dont look like seconds, maybe these are pre-label so worth a fortune.... ;D
-
Interesting.
someone was doing labels a while back that went on like transfers on models, i think it was one of the yanks doing them.
Could make them yellow labels. Only be any good on a show bike though. :daumenhoch:
-
yeah, i know del has tried but they just peel off, the original is like a dye print of some sort so it cannot be taken off... so where mine gone? :-\
-
ive got 2 survivor pairs of these tyres but no label either, it does say made in japan, i too was wondering what year they were so i can flog em :-\
-
Maybe they were unbranded to be sold on a complete
-
so is it safe to put them on a old schooler then? :)

I know of someone who sold a set of these recently on ebay and they had gen 2 labels put on them, the gen 2 labels were not 100% accurate and they looked ironed on more than printed.
They are the same Genration as the rainbow labels as far as i know, but there must have been a batch made without them printed with labels.
I have seen the odd plain one come up on ebay before..

Late 90's then :)
Cool not seen these before :daumenhoch: good find Sam
-
thats cool then.
i'll put mine on one of my s&m's :)
-
pulled both mine off 2 survivor 1993 bikes if that helps
-
I did pick up on this with Anthony Sam when we were looking at the 3 bikes before the big sell off , thought it was unusual as i had never seen a set before :D To me they were identical to the Rainbow Labels he had on one of the other bikes but obviously missing the label .
Nice tyres whatever they are :daumenhoch:

They may have been fitted to the bikes later then Stevie ???
I only say this because about 6 or 7 years ago when Biagio had loads of Rainbow labels in stock
He stated then, Rainbows were from around 1998 to 2000 production and he bought loads from that time ???
-
i agree, somehow they look identical in texture to rainbows, i've had older comp III's that somehow look and feel differant as if from a differant mold.... :daumenhoch:
