Post by: Retrodan72 on September 12, 2012, 07:58 PM
Has anyone got the factory spec list for an '83 Kuwie Laserlite, or send me a link for a resource site?

Cheers Dan. :daumenhoch:

You know me and my builds lads, as long as I can at least get 50% close to original spec, then i'll be happy. It will be ridden of course. :coolsmiley: :daumenhoch:

Cheers for that Joff. :4_17_5:

Your welcome mate ,  Im doing one at the mo , got the bars , chrome 7X ,seat post, stem, pedals etc but thinks like the 400's ain't going to happen , likewise on the tyres ... rare as rhs . I missed out on a seat at MK which would have been nice but i do have a LB elina or kashi to fall back on .

Im sure it will be a stunner Dan whatever spec you do , really nice frames  8)

There is more than one spec depending on which country it was sold in as it also came with a one piece crank.

 ;D   It's a laserlite Dan not a lasershite  :D

Can't knock Justin tbh , posts stuff out real quick, always marks as a gift and keeps the value down . He even refunded some postage for me without asking despite me thinking the postage was reasonable for the amount of stuff i had bought  Great customer service  :)

I was mate but the chrome wasn't very good on it and I had the opportunity to buy a KZ-01R off Gashead, so that's my Kuwie box ticked.

Most important bits apart form the f/f  :LolLolLolLol: IMO Are the the laser bars and laser post. Bung on some shiny sides and a vx cranks and it'll look sweet, mine does!  8)

I used Hsin Lung bars and a Nitto post, as close as you'll get to the originals, without the cost.  :daumenhoch:

The frame and fork I no longer have. Still got everything else though. I needed the funds to buy a Frame and fork from a NOS complete.  :) Its in me and my bikes. Its the best original laserlie frame I have ever seen. More pics on BMXmuseum. Link below. But I have not got round to building it up. Wish I kept it now as wanting another rider survivor.  :(

I would love some Laser bars (and for that, a post) on mine but I can't justify the cost!  :crazy2:

I've therefore gone for a new Nitto via Natsukashi and some era-correct Win pros - still Japanese and a lot cheaper!  :daumenhoch:
