If they were mine Id start then at £99 and let it run from there. On the other hand your postage is double what it could cost to send them. Most online courier services would quote between £6-£8 to sent two tyres.  :daumenhoch:

On the mans own web site, with pictured evidence......it clearly says 1985 san-diago chrome and orange pre production beats, his orange one clearly has those white GT tyres

Personally, GT tyres in white with tan wall are sought after. People will pay what they want to pay for them. I would have started them £90 with £6.75 postage. You have to take into consideration the 15% Ebay and paypal fees plus packing materials that many fail to do.

Costa, who really says that Haro tyres are worth £200?? But they sell for that all day long. Even the later ones go for silly money  :crazy2:

It is stupid, I agree. It has got out of control but with an open market like Ebay, worldwide audience and so forth, there is more demand so in turn creates more dollars. Some of the idiots on the museum that charge unbelievable prices for tat are a good example as you well know. You have to take Ebay with a pinch of salt. People may start their goods at high prices but, they very rarely sell.

The thing with tyres though, they perish very quickly without treatment and to many, they just sit in the corner gathering dust. If people want to spend £200 on some Haro tyres to just sit in the corner, good luck to them. I prefer the Comp III re-issues at £36 a pair from Winstanleys. They are great for riding on, which is what I do, even though I have ridden on expensive tyres before  :D

I couldn't just leave a bike in the corner of a room. You get too old to ride it and then regret never having done  :daumenhoch:

Not surprisingly they have thus far attracted zero bids!!

Must be someone sat on a hoard of these things!!

Thanks for the guideline. Can't justify over £100 just on tyres at the moment. Think will need a pair of slippers that never get ridden and some old Patrick Liverpool's for nipping out in!

Cheers!

:)
