-
I have said it before and I will say it again, this site has some of the best oldschool BMX bikes in the world. And the likes of Carl building that gorgeous Redline only makes the rest of us work harder to bring something cool to the party.
When you compete against the best then it makes you raise your game and the standard of bikes each and every month in CSBOTM gets higher and higher.
You will not see a tougher BOTM competition anywhere else on this planet than on this site.
Well done to everybody involved each month, you guys always amaze me. :4_17_5:
-
Vote in. That was probably the toughest month for me ever, in the end I went for the one I like the look of most.
Adam

-
Vote in ... :daumenhoch: What a month .. :4_17_5:
probably 3 of the best bikes of the year from each era in that lot .. :daumenhoch:
Totally correct Carl, some of the best bikes ever seen in any competition in the world.
You would be happy with all of the entries this month in the bike of the year comps on other sites, however this is simply for bike of the month.
Can anyone tell me where you would find better entries in a monthly comp? Honestly I am simply proud to have my bike in such esteemed company.

-
Well done Sean :)
You came top in an amazing month for quality builds :4_17_5:
It must be a great feeling :)
-
For once I didn't definitively know which bike to vote for, it was between Sean's Cooks and Carl's Squareback and for me, I went with the one I liked the look of most which was Carl's.
I think it could have one either way to be honest, they are both outstanding bikes with a hell of a lot of time thought and effort gone into each.
Well done Sean, to have won this month holds a lot of kudos mate :daumenhoch:
Also a great score for Chris's Hoffman, not my cup of tea but it's clear that mid school is becoming more and more popular so well done mate. :daumenhoch:

Great win that Sean, if anyone knows anything about Cook Bros they'll know exactly how hard it is to build a Cook's complete with genuine Cook parts :4_17_5: These parts don't appear on eBay all the time you have to know where to look and even then people are reluctant to let them go.
Iconic bike and awsome spec as expected. well done :daumenhoch:

Same could be said for quite a few parts on Carls squareback Ash ;)

And all the other bikes, but I'm only talking about Sean's bike at the minute.
And I know exactly where some of Carl's parts came because he asked me for some help/ advice on them :daumenhoch:
The more people learn about these parts the better Rad will become, share the knowledge as far as I'm concerned 8)

The more people learn about these parts the better Rad will become, share the knowledge as far as I'm concerned 8)
True Ash :daumenhoch: It's not just the knowledge of these rare parts or even finding them it's the bloody price you have to pay to get hold of them  :D ;D
Well done everyone who entered , some stunning builds . You have all done yourselves and RAD proud yet again :4_17_5:
-
Exactly right, you almost have to be well connected to build such bikes as the parts just don't show up, it's not like putting an mx1000 and full wrap flights or even a DC hinge clamp on a build, try finding a cook clamp or even a PLME for under £300 and you'll be doing extremely well
And that's just for the mid to late 70s stuff, building something pre 75 is a whole new ball game entirely :)
-
Massive thanks the the 39 that voted for a part of iconic Bmx history :daumenhoch: and not the money build .. :daumenhoch:
I wouldn't swap it for anything :smitten:

So yours cost nothing then Carl? Yes Cook Bros cost a lot, but I also put a damn load of work into the bike, the bars and stem needed a lot of work to restore, the rims cost me £15 as I found them cheap the hubs also needed restoring.
So to say it was the money build is completely wrong. I wouldn't imagine a Redline Squareback is cheap along with a NOS redline stem. Those mag wheels probably cost nearly as much as my whole bike.
