No old school freestyle bikes are rare, nor close to extinction  ::).  The word "rare" only comes up on gaybay to describe something of which there is plenty of; it's an oxymoron.  As soon you think you have the only one, someone pops up to show you more.

Strictly speaking not a freestyler given its date but the twin tubes make it a deserved entry in my book  ;)

C'mon guys, the decal on the side says 'Trickster' and the decal on the front says 'SE' so I am guessing it's a Se Trickster  :daumenhoch:

I wouldn't say a Haro freestyler is rare at all

and a Torker 280X was produced as a race/street bike

Torker did make a Torker Freestylist and the Torker  2 air though ,,,,again not rare  :)

more leaning to mid school here but id say the rarest freestylers are from 89- 90, 1st gen GT AGGRESSOR, 1990 DYNO SLAMMER BUILT IN BASHGUARD (u.s model not the slammer 2 ) and 1990 DYNO PRO COMPE,

taken 6 yrs to find 2 of them just need 1 more  :)

Hi griff yep ive been building a buggy for the past year so ive spent most of my time on buggy forums every night but ive nearly finished it so i am back on here again now
That pic is a chrome street beat it say' s there are less than 5 around
i dont know if that is true but it looks nice

Title: Re: Which old school freestyler would you class as a rare
Post by: pickle on January 01, 2013, 05:37 PM
I would imagine its a normal beat that's just been chromed. The only chrome OK new I know of were van the mans prototype which was very different to the production model.

Still very nice though  :daumenhoch:

The 88s are chrome as well obviously

Could see it was a beat but wasn't sure if there was something different about the seat tube
maybe my eyes are playing tricks but thought it was aero tubing  :D (Maybe it was the TA sticker!)

Anyway Pickle is your man for beats  :daumenhoch:

Post by: pickle on January 02, 2013, 07:18 AM
Grif, all 85/86 beats have the aero seat tube which blends into round at the top.  stylers/scenes and 88 beats have round seat tubes  :daumenhoch:
