Title: Skyway hub type introduction /I'D
Post by: BADDH on May 12, 2012, 08:45 PM
Hi

A pal has bought some skyways off the bay , they are described as 80's   and he is a touch concerned  they have plastic hubs with loose bearings not the Alloy hubs he thought the 80's Skyways had fixed into them.

Can anyone help us I'D these please ?  :idiot2:

Around 84 Skyway introduced a loose ball plastic front hubbed wheel with an alloy/coaster rear wheel.  Sealed bearing were introduced many years later and are what are widely sold today by Skyway.

I always remember a school friend giving me a skyway with an imploded rear. This consisted of a cog and a circlip. Im assuming this was a set of gen 1"s. Probably worth a fortune now???............  It was a POS though
