Title: paint faded under decals
Post by: ED209 on April 24, 2012, 08:27 AM
weird one this...

Del is doing me some custom decals for my new Supercross as I wasn't really feeling the ones on there.

Peeled off the old ones this morning in a 'ahhh f**K it stop ummin and ahharin and do it' type way...

This frame must have a been ex-display or something as now the stickers have gone you can see the shapes of the decals bleached into the neon green paint of the frame...  :( I will do a pic in a bit... but short of a re-powder is there anything that can be done?  :-\

I guess I already know the answer  :-[

t cut might bring up the rest of the paint a bit, and leave it in the sun, should we get a bit!

Dayglo paint is a bu66er for fading, look at the dynorod vans. unstable pigments or some such guff.

Raw it!!

I didn't think it was allowed, I know you can't say gentlemans relish, see!

I would say that bugger is worse than that!!!

why? waht does bugger mean Mark?  ???

anyway... T-Cut isn't doing a thing... its under the laquer in the paint so short of getting Del to remake the ones I've just taken off or getting a respray I'm buggered (  :) )

Any grounds in getting onto Supercross and asking what the deal is? it it was a new frame fresh out the box it wouldn't be the cash - deffo an ex display model... they should help out on the respray costs I reckon

Your kidding right....?

This bike is your rider. its supposed to not be perfect.

The more you ride it the less shiny it will be.

Keep your Haro mint and just thrash the Supercross.

Keep the faith young Brother. L
