No
It's because you have a flat brake bridge apposed to a 'tube' brake bridge !
Turn the washers around so they are light a 69 position to make a thick washer :daumenhoch:
-
Did that . just looked a bit high ::)
Thanks.
-
Just use some normal washers in that case :daumenhoch:
-
I have a spindle for a flat bridge on some DC calipers here :daumenhoch:
Swap you if yours is a DC one
Will get pics tomorrow ;)

Just seen in another thread that these are the new mx1000's :buck2:
Sorry mate but i wanted an old one :daumenhoch:
-
you will be better using a dia compe 1020 caliper for a cali, the brake blocks might not quite reach the rim using that

is it not just that he has the front on the rear and the rear on the front ???
right about the wwashers but it looks as though it all the wrong way around ?

I was just thinking the same thing there Bendy. :daumenhoch:

hard to see whats in front mate but just looks that way to me :D ;D ???

Definitely a front brake. If it came from Alan's send it back and tell them to give you the correct one. You can buy the spindles on ebay BTW. (not DC but it doesn't matter on those new reissued brakes)

I only bought a rear one guys. sick as!
Dont know whats going on??
Might just put it on the front like, didn't really want to.

It's a rear mate, It just hasn't got the washers on it :daumenhoch:
If you put the washers on it would fit perfect on a round brake bridge ;)

Still seems a bit high off the frame, is this normal.
Could anyone take some pics of theres??
Thanks.

Put the washers on the same side as the nut :daumenhoch:
-
yup try that above
see what they look like the other way around
i was under the thought thaqt the longer front bolt had to go through the fork tube and that was why it was longer - the rear only had to go through the round brake bridge or flat bridge and so that was the shorter one ???
as for look different from rear to front, i thought there was none bar the sizr of the bolt it's self ?
