Title: My 2012 OM Flyer
Post by: sam hudson on December 06, 2011, 11:05 PM

Got this today from nice lady at SE in Germany (thanks to lack of UK distributor for SE products). Its the first cruiser that I've owned so it feels huuuggee!

Very pleased with it, its a good looking and solid feeling bike (I posted some other equally badly taken pic's in the Museum).

Lots of email chaos to get this bike but worth it in the end...I know lots of you dislike 'new' SE stuff but I've got a few bikes by them and I've never had a problem with quality or ride.

Roll on less crappy weather so I can get it to the track !  :LolLolLolLol:

Cheers guys.  :daumenhoch:

Its not too hefty...29lbs. It was a bit costly when you combine the postage and cash on delivery fee it was 604 euro which is about £540.  :-[

You can get a 2011 in Blue (which is the same bike for £399). I was going to get the blue one, then SE announced that they were going to produce it in Chrome...end of story!! They are doing them in black as well...I think as a limited edition for 2012?

Had SE got a distributor in the UK, I would have left it until the price came down...but it looks like there won't be an SE distributor in a hurry so I stumped up....it is my 40th prezzy and I convinced my wife by telling her that I could fit a child seat on it so that I could take one of my lads on as a passenger... ;D ;D ....I will look long and hard for such a seat but I don't think I will find one that fits!!  :'( (don't contact me if you've got one that fits!!)

If it ever stops bucketting it down, I'll let you know what it rides like.

;D ;D Having said all that about no UK Distributor, It looks like Triton are now the new UK distributors so I could have ordered one from them.  :2funny:

Isnt the OM flyer a 26" wheeled bike? (rather than the more usual 24" of the floval, and most BMX Cruisers)

Im suer they were in the 80s. Some say the OM flyer was the first "MTB"

Sure is :daumenhoch:
All BMX cruisers were 26" at the start and the OM Flyer might have been the first adult sized BMX produced 8)
