Title: MRD Expert finished.
Post by: southern andy on October 23, 2011, 09:03 AM
1984 MRD Expert.

Not been shown on RAD before so here she is  :4_17_5:

Picked the frame up from Darren Wood at MK10, he also supplied the stickers with the sale. Sawzall sorted me out with a spare set of his forks. The MRD Expert bars were a freak ebay win for a poultry £40. The other stuff was spares i had in the loft.

The frame was chrome but was damaged so it had to be stripped then repaired by Phil. We then proceeded to prepare it for painting as it couldn't be rechromed due to the filler in one of the rear chain stays.

Eventually i had it sprayed Fiat 500 Cha Cha blue, totally different from any other MRD around but also just blue enough to show the white up.

so..........Parts list.

MRD Expert bars
Dia Compe hinged seat clamp
DK Stem
Araya 7X Rims
Shimano DX pedals
Dia Compe 890 Rear brake including Dia Compe 84 stamped rear cable
Dia Compe Tech 3
SR Cromo lite OPC
Elina Flyte tech armchair
Tuf neck power disc
MRD Brake guard
Yellow/green label Mitsubishi comp 3's
Tioga beartrap 2 headset
Suzue sealed bearing hubs
Uni Hand grenades (originals not repop)

Probably cost me about £300 in total to do.

Hope you like it  :)
