its a con, it looks like the ad has been lifted from ebay in america
he spells tyres "tires" and it also says a reasonable reserve price has been set which makes it sound like a ebay ad
-
and i am correct :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:

ukash is another form of western union. you buy a code then use it or cash it out. so you go buy a voucher code for 500, the max amount, give them the code, they laugh real real hard, you cry.
-
fooking scammers!
shut em down :knuppel2: :police: :knuppel2:
-
tis a real sad shame this, its becoming more and more rife this as people cotton on to the value of these bikes.... would you trust anyone abroad now with your hard earned....
-
Nice detective work Kev :daumenhoch:
Ruddy scammers >:(
Also, looking at the grammar used in the Gumtree ad compared to the grammar used in the responses to me....it is clearly a different person :coolsmiley:
-
sounds like the NOS trickstar con that was going around on gumtree....
address of seller was in Scotland, but pics were clearly taken in the US,
roll up to collect with 500 sovs in yer pocket and get coshed ! >:D
-
I sent several other messages requesting a landline telephone number......they never responded....another tale tale sign to tread with caution ^"^

john.
I have already offered to collect in Scotland........no surprise......zero response :D
I suppose even if one or 2 people fall for it...£500....£1000 in their pocket, for what, an ad that took 2 minutes to stick up :coolsmiley:

I have purchased many a Raleigh Burner off Gumtree no problem 8)
-
£500. Would have been a canny profit in that, eh?

if that was me i would have informed ukash you can normally tell when these wonkers respond by their really poor english, also ask them some questions like if they are dx pedals i will defo have it (even if they're not) people that sell these bikes know their stuff and scammers normally don't
i got caught a few years back with that western union shit-NEVER AGAIN :knuppel2:

Funny how the asking price is the Ukash limit. No imagination these scammers.
