Title: Woody Itson
Post by: AKGOFF on April 22, 2011, 10:24 PM
Just had my Woody Itson Trickstar stripped and resprayed (no powder here) and stickered it up today

Vince has had the nightmare job of lacing up my SST Coaster Hub to my Zs and all i'm waiting on now is my ACS 'Tech 3' Locking levers to arrive, a quick polish up and we are good to build this bike.
Can't wait, i'll post a pic when its done.

Also, a big thanks to Del who had the 'Woody' decal made from a scanned image of a tracing of an original i got from a guy in Australia. I had a few extra made and sent them to the guy in Australia and he said they are next to perfect.

Cheers
Adam

OK Fellas, just stickered up my NOS Hutch Plate and got a few other bits out.
A few pics in the morning sun.

The Aerospeeds look like they need a clean and thanks to Bubbs for the NOS Ame Unitrons, been searching a long time for the correct grips.

Nice kitchen worktop, you need to move that old bike off it though as you may mark the wood.  :P

As this is a replica of Woody's bike I have to ask this...

Did Woody Itson put his fork decals on upside down as well.   :crazy2:

Nice frame BTW - looks straight as a die.  8)

Stickers are upside down on the forks mate.... ;)

Must be an echo in here.   ;D

A good rule of thumb for stickering forks is to imagine doing a wheelie on the bike - the logo on the fork decals should read the right way up when the forks are horizontal.   8)

So just to be clear on this, are the Fork Decals upside down? :LolLolLolLol: They will be changed lads, rookie mistake. Whenever i do something on my bikes i get far too excited and go at it as quickley as possible because i'm too impatient and generally it goes tits up hence why i source all the bits and then give it all to Vince and he reconditions anything that needs it and then builds it the way it should be.
I went to have a look at my pink Zs that are being laced by Vince yesterday afternoon and they look awesome, he has reconditioned my front Hutch Hub aswell and it looks brand new. He has also reconditioned a set of Ti-Mag Hutch Hubs for me and laced them to a NOS set of Blue Shiny Side Ukai Speedlines which look stunning and are going on my 83 Quad being built this week,

Wheels are now laced, front just needs to be trued and Woody decal on the rear hub and we're done

The ACS 'Tech 3' Locking Levers arrived from the US today so a bit of a polish and then they are ready, I have a NOS White Kashi Aero being bleached at the moment and depending on how that turns out i'll use that, if not I have another white Kashi Aero which is in great nick, nice and bright but not NOS.
Should have this Honey built in around 2 - 3 weeks i think.

Cheers

Adam

I love the Orange Aero, with all the stickers it looks proper street but I think you should take the Quad, Si said he is having a drink this time so judging by what he told me about when he gets going on the sauce he probably won't even notice you have a bike let olone the Quad :LolLolLolLol:
