It looks like James had a worse first visit to a skatepark than I did (I fell onto my handlebar and skewered myself, Knackered my foot and got my bike stolen).
Hopefully he was getting major air before the incident rather than falling off doing an endo. :D
Get well soon lad!! :daumenhoch:
Did he do it dropping in?
-
Kick turn I think ???
Apparently , those who saw it happen ,James included , said he didn't do anything to warrant your foot ending up at 20 past 12 :crazy2:
Me Rollin and In2bmx were soft arses and wouldn't go round for a look and photoshot with poor James :D
The paramedic was getting pee'd off with everyone wanting to get a pic took with James :D
Until his mishap ,james was having it non stop, up and down the place and lovin' it riding all the ramps :daumenhoch:
Heal soon mate you'll be back soon

Just spoke to James, he has broke his tibia at the top and the bottom, pretty bad shit, he is being plated n pinned and will spend 6 days after the op in blackpool, he is, its fair to say,in pain and bored shitless, He gets pm's via email but can get on rad so if you pm him (please do), put your email on the pm then he can get back to ya thus having contact with radsters, lets try and keep his spirits up eh :daumenhoch:
The good news is that his family are ok about it and work are too and he is on the lookout for a newschool bike to have another go when he is mended :4_17_5: :4_17_5: :4_17_5:

Hi Guys,
Got back home yestersday and I'm soooo pleased to be out of Blackpool Hopsitial - it fookin' grim.
Thanks to everyone who sent PM/Emails/Texts to me, you really help keep my spirits up :daumenhoch:
OK, now to the grim details:
I have broken my tibia and broken & dislocated my ankle. The bone was very close to penetrting my skin and would have done if not for the emergency bone relocation that took place pre-xray in A&E (oh, and they did that about a minute after the gas and air ran out and 5 minutes before an injection of morphene)
They operated on me on Sunday mornig for 2.5 hrs and I have been given a metal plate held with 10 screws. The op has a 80% success rate but if it doesn't work I'll need a bone graft.
I need to keep all weight of my cast/leg for the foreseable and have to keep it elevated (above heart level) whenever practical. All being well the cast should be off in 6-8 weeks and I should be working normally in 3 months (and "normal" includes a possivle Diggler-esqe limp). I suspect I'll be told to keep off the bike for a good while longer (12 months?)
My frankly amazing wife put the accident down to "one of those things" and has made it clear she's happy for me to ride once I'm able to do so. I'm not sure I'll be hitting the ramps again but I really want to keep racing.
Once I'm up on my feet I'll get to a couple of races for a natter.
Thanks again for the love guys,
Nada

-
glad you home James. wishing u a speedy recovery mate . hopefully see you at the track soon :daumenhoch:
-
Good to see your out of Blackpool.............not many escape!! :LolLolLolLol:
Tell us how it happened?...................were you distracted by Dubbers firm buttocks or Digglers limp package?..............or did you panic due to lack of oxygen being that far up the ramp?
I'm with you on giving ramps a miss though. My first time at a skatepark was one I wanted to forget too.
Take it easy lad and I'll drop off all of my spare BMX mags so you have some reading material.
Get well soon!! :daumenhoch:
-
Bloody hell James - doesn't sound like you had much fun at the hospital - nasty :buck2:

but it's alot better than it could have been , with that nasty break :-\
Whilst your off I'm sure Diggler will send you many a www.grannylovesfisting.com link ;) to keep you functioning >:D ;D
Sounds like your missus is a fantastic , understanding woman and realises ,
being an 11 year old in a thirty something body isn't easy :D.
Remember JD76 's missus gave him the ultimatum me or BMX,when he broke his wrist badly :-\
I'm so glad that you didn't get the same treatment . You're a lucky boy :coolsmiley:
If you're owt like Dan or Diggler , you'll get back on your bike and be better than ever :4_17_5: :daumenhoch:
