I bought this one off the bay recently for £70 (was that too much?) and sold it on, I did not realise they were popular?

I know os someone who is Piranha nuts and may be interesred in your bike unless your happy putting it on the bay as you never know you might strike lucky on there :daumenhoch:

pm me with a price if you want to sell outside of the bay ;)

The person who may be interested lives in Dudley - i dunno if thats near you, it may save in the hiring of a crane to lift it from your house :LolLolLolLol:

I'm defo gonna replicate the first BMX I had BITD an '85 Piranha Freestyler.

I've only ever seen 1 since getting back into the scene, it's on the bay at the minute, the guy had a BIN price of £475, that's now dropped to £399.

Sweet looking bikes those P's my only gripe is the rear drop outs looks shite! if they'd have spent a few more minutes designing a better, stronger looking rear dropout theyd be far better :daumenhoch:

Yeah mate, the Freestyler had a twin top tube.
The spec on mine as I remember from when I bought it in July '85 was,

White powdered frame and forks
White powdered CW type bars
Chrome unbranded layback with unbranded black Aero style seat
White Aero Zytecs
Vredestein whitewall tyres with black snakebelly tread
Black MX 1000 copy calipers with Tech 3's
Black Suntour copy seat clamp
Polished copy Suntour power stem
Nasty moulded black and white chequered grips

You're not wrong.  2 minutes with a grinder and they'd be sorted - Kuwahara style drops.    :crazy2:

That does ring a bell mate, when the frame cracked by the head tube, Stevenson's Cycles in Buckley mentioned a distributer from the Midlands.

Thay did replace the frame, which I was speaking to Brett about recently, I always though they'd given me a TRM frameset as a replacement, but after seeing Mani's Fox Styler @ MK, it could have been one of them??
