My main memory of these were that they must have been made of solid lead! They weighed a little short of twelve tonnes I think.

Also - they were the bikes that you could hire out at Eastway BMX track.

I know some people are fans of these, but in reality they were a joke, along with burners they was the UKs answer to BMX, talk about take the p1ss outta the kids with complete crap. These bike weighed a ton, snapped easily, handled like a giraffe on ice.
No wonder this country was in the sh1t in the early 80s. Its a shame that it took a while for UK companies started making decent bikes

Sh!t note to self dont let the pets on the bike in winter lolololol

Your right there are some peeps that love these bikes as i said will be a nice cheap little bulid, got to admit they come with some ok parts mx brakes and seat clamp, fluted seat post (used on another project) Areo Zetec mags.
At the end of the day there are a few bikes like these that when they come out were the laughing stock of BMX but now years later are becoming collectable.

Yeah, agreed they were pretty crappy, but when your 12 your folks have a big say in what bike you get for xmas, & £100 was tops for loads of kids.

Total POS but we all had the best times on our Piranhas, Burners & Strattons.

& I cant remember ever having the pi$$ taken out of me as we all had similar budget bikes, but we wernt serious racers or owt, just kids knocking about the estate doing endos.

Theses days, due to the weight of these bikes each Borough would be limited to 1 bike per landfill site!
