I have a set of ally tuffs and the ally is not great ! Pitted etc
Can the rivets be taken out, then get the hubs re chromed and re fitted ?
Anyone ever done it ?

It can be done, read a thread somewhere about this recently, there's a fella who can replace the rivets and fit new ones using a press, the only hitch is (I think) he's in Australia, he's called Waza007 on the forums.
Heres the thread:-

there you can also see his temporary "faux rivets"-solution.
If you decide to take the flanges/hubs off, make sure you drill-off the rivets from the right side. I remember reading somewhere that the right side is the side where the caps of the rivets are untouched/original/flat, NOT the side where they seem pressed.
Resaon is the rivets or the canal through which they run, seem to be conic. So that you will most probably crack the wheels if you attempt driving-out the rivets from the wrong side. :-[
