Title: Novice racing - kit requirements?
Post by: Jon The Bassist on March 04, 2010, 11:35 AM
So my 6 yo lad is considering riding in the novices at Leeds this Sunday (never raced before).
We ordered a full-face helmet which should get here before then. If it didn't get here in time would a normal cycling helmet be allowed for novice?
Also he hasn't got a plate - will he be issued with a temporary plate/number?

Any help gratefully received,
Cheers, Jon

:) Fullface lid only, ask the club if you can borrow 1 if yours doesn`t arrive in time, gloves, long sleeve top and full length trousers.Knee/elbow pads advisable for a nipper.Registration will provide a plate/number free if you don`t have your own.
