Anyone know a way of replacing the poppers from vinyl pads ? I have some Redline ones, but the popper heads are rusty, and need to make way for some shiny new ones, but I dunno how to get them off without damaging the pad.
Is it just a case of being careful with the drill ?
I don't even know where to get replacements from, but I'm guessing a sewing shop maybe ?
Cheers
Guy :)

you will need an upholstery shop....
and the tool to fit them....which is like a punch and a dolly to back up the domed bit.....
i know cos my dad was/is an upholsterer and this used to be one of my sat morning jobs, making buttons or fitting pop-studs....all for a fiver per thousand...tight git

What's the best way to remove the old ones then Dave ?
-
set light to it
once the vynal has burned away you will be left with the stud!! :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
-
needle nose pliers in the back and de-burr the little rivet....it should then fall off
