I was hoping to take this velo seat off my race bike with a haro fusion seat post, then put some old guts on the seat and put it on a straight seat post.
But I just can't see an easy way to get the seat off the post :crazy2:

:) Once the bolt is loosened/removed,can you not pop the rail clamps out sideways? Perhaps "persuade" them with a screwdriver?
-
they are a bit of a pain but you should be able to push the top piece to one side which will allow you to get some movement on the seat :daumenhoch:

Yes the top part should slide out. :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

The top and bottom holders have different sized grooves to hold the seat rails.
Find the one with the smaller grooves (it should be at the top but it depends who installed it) and slide it out.
If it wont slide out due to being too tight then wedge something in the bracket/hinge area (screwdriver, bar, spanner etc, etc) and lever it so that it loosens the seat holders and then slide the smaller grooved seat holder out.
Do the reverse to get a seat back onto the post!! :daumenhoch:

This is why Primo (amongst others) made the micro adjust in 2 parts :LolLolLolLol:

All sorted lads, thanks :daumenhoch:
Do you think a new straight seat post will get me out of the bottom 3 places at Lytham Moley???? ;D
