Bidding away for these in what seems to be becoming a bit of a bidding war - how much would you guys pay for these maximum -

For the condition i think they are probably close to their max

I dunno I reckon blue ones are rarer - and they could easily be restored, maybe 150 tops?

I gave up on finding blue alloy hubbed tuffs in nice condition for sensible money a while ago

Settled for these instead - metal coaster rear, placcy front (around '85)

Got 'em off US ebay (poorly listed & photo'd) for a nice price

Back to black !!! Gave up bidding for the blue Tuffs at £130, so keeping to my black Tuffs afterall!!!

Up to 132 with an hour to go, this is climbing. I know the last thing any of you would expect from me is to say I told you so, but, I told you so!

Calif Dreaming. A freind of mine is an auction expert, he buys and sells houses the capitalist pig, he recommends not bidding until the very last minute, as all you are doing is driving the price up for yourself. I use this all the time and its seems to work for me.

yeah, bobafett said the same re bidding - I'll remember that for next time as the price was pretty static until I came along and started bidding! Wow, those Tuffs came out well - perhaps I'll try something like that, if I can find some more for sale.

i've got some early blue skyways, badly faded in places. BUT were nos when first purchased once upon a time.

will need dying

I'm gonna wait for sure next time and then jump in at the last minute! I thought everyone is supposed to be short around xmas time, but it seems in the old school bmx community, money is a plenty all year round!!

Why do people bid on stuff? I don't get it. Its gotta be esnipe for me every time.

If you bid before the very very end then you will always pay more than you needed to ... ALWAYS

Use esnipe ( www.esnipe.com ) and it will bid on your behalf 6 seconds before the end... that way you don't get in to adding more and more. You just say 'right - I don't want to pay more than X' then if it goes for more then thats the way it is.

Its a lot easier to bid in that way then getting into a bidding war and then you lose out by a fiver or whatever and feel pissed of that 'it was only £5 more'
