Great news.

With Redditch and Perry Park and the UCI BMX World Championships coming to Brum in 2012, think Birmingham should be re-named BMXland

Now, if they could only re-build the Chelmsley Eagles track

Rookie and Benn have been at this tirelessly with local chavs in opposition all the way.
Great work and may get some up for getting the trails going again.

Chelmsley - loved that place. Massive start hill and a million mph into the doubles out of 1st corner.

Think it will be my local too Matt, although I live in B'ham, it's quicker to get to Redditch.

I've been trying to get some of the big names in BMX to become fans of Redditch Premiers (facebook).
So far got the OM, Ruffell & last but not least Sarah Walker

work started today on the new redditch track

the old football changing rooms are being changed first so we have a new club house then the actual work starts on the track. Hopefully it should be finished for April

I will update with pics as it comes along

Spent a lot of time in it but didn't know the name.

Someone on facebook asked the same question about the track location, makes sense what they said, if you're on it have a look or something..

the new track is otherside of skatepark from the old track. the plan is to have trails on old track, then skatepark then new track. if you look at last pic you can see skatepark and new track, old track is left of park in the pic
