On my way home earlier i drove past a skip in someones drive only to see a BMX in there. I did a double take and went and had a look.

well you would wouldn't you.

Anyhow, it's a Haro. It's not Old school but it's certainly complete, even the tyres are pumped up on it. I knocked on the peoples door but there was no answer sadly. I had to leave it there for the time being but what would you do

?

Would you go back after dark and swipe it or go back and out of respect just knock and ask if you can have it

??

No in all honesty, it would be perfect for my son as a bomb about. I had a real good look and it is spec. Everything is Haro on it. I just need to pluck up the courage to remove it.

It looks like the people have just moved in as there is a SOLD sign outside the house and quite a bit of packing in there. The previous owners could have just left it and the new owners are skipping everything that may have been in the shed.

it's a bike, it's complete, it's free, it's being thrown away.

grow a set and go steal it...it IS stealing still, but if you get nabbed call it "re-cycling"

Leave a note with your number on saying you'd like to have it, even if it's their bin bags on the street its still legally theirs.

Perhaps pull it out of the skip and put it at the side of the house incase the skip goes.

Tough one, I dont have any moral objections, but I bet theres a law somewhere that would have yer nuts in a vice if some owner/copper/twange decided to. Go back and knock again..

I'd get dropped off and ride it away if's rideable and hope to be chased by the cops. man that'd be fun.

when i ride my bike around at night with no lights i sort of hope every car that comes along is gonna be the cops and i can try to get away....never happens though.

I Know that sounds bonkers but this is a soceity that thinks pensioners should go to jail for no payment of council tax but that

I've got it

I finally grew a set.

The people still weren't in so i took it and wrote a note saying i had removed the bike and i hope thats ok. If not then if they could call me on this number i'll bring it straight back round.

Its a Haro Dave Mirra 540 Air.

It needs a front brake and a new seat. It has loads of Fusion stuff on there.

I'll get pics up later Matt as i have to go back to work now.

I feel bad but i'd of hate to of left it there for someone else to take. Hopefully they'll be ok with it, i'm glad i posted the note through to be honest.
