S&M dirtbike found
« on: November 23, 2009, 03:43 PM »
Little story for ya on this miserable monday.

Did a little tree surgery work for my aunt, just taking a few lower branches off and oak tree and taking the top out of a conifer tree. I was brought a cup of coffee and went to sit in their garrage to drink it, Lifted up a stool from the corner to sit on and what did i find? a next gen dirtbike. ok, so it wasnt in great condition and had a few stock shitty parts but I took a fancy to it. Turns out it belonged to my cousin who's since left the country. My aunt said i could keep it if i really wanted it as it was only going to be thrown out in the upcoming weeks. needless to say i was well happy.

I also have a chance to buy a maddog frame from the us for the rought equivilant of £300, a chance i dont really want to loose. Have put up a load of new school stuff for sale on my ebay page and will most likely sell the dirtbike. If anyones interested ill be after something like £150 shipped

Damn you Captain - just when I've made up my mind to sell mine to fund an NS bike  :-\ .  They just look so damn purposeful and chunky.  Nice find  :daumenhoch:

Edit:  I just can't bring myself to do it (apologies to anyone who was watching mine on the 'bay) . . . heck if I had the cash I'd bid on yours too.  Good luck with the sale!  Someone'll get a cracking ride for cheap  :daumenhoch:

You can never have too many dirtbikes  ;) . . . and now instead of accruing some cash from the sale of the NG I've ended up throwing more money at it  ::) . . . just ordered something rather nice for the rebuild (but from the completely wrong era . . . hey, who cares!). Watch this space if it materialises.

Edit: If it materialises  ::) . . . thought it was too good to be true  :'(.  Found an online shop with one of the limited edition 'Ice' Redneck XLTs showing still in stock but it wasn't to be - now I have to wait for a refund  :( .  Burger it!! I can't afford all this - if anyone would like to  make me an offer before the frame and forks hit the 'bay again this weekend please PM me  :'(

No, not Winstanleys this time  ;).  I know it's gonna take a while to get there but live stock levels are a godsend for impatient folks like me.  I have a 2002 NG Dirtbike bought NOS 3 weeks ago with Pitchforks from Kuwahero on here (cheers!).  I dunno - one minute I want to sell to fund a nuschool build (but I'm probably just being a girl and getting suckered by all the lovely colours  ::)), on the other hand I love the slacker angles and decent length seattube and it rides great - sheesh, why am I so indecisive?!!
