fair enough! i am not so bothered on the age! Be good to find out for sure, just out of interest.

I am swaying to just tidying it up and using it, might not bother with painting it even. I have a haro dropnose seat that will go on, and will need to sort the wheels, the rear is rather baggy!

I am decided on just a good strip and clean up, I picked most of the paint off the cranks today with my fingernail lol. So going to strip it, get the wheels re trued as both wobble! The rear I think needs new bearings or maybe just a strip and regrease? I might chuck the wheels off my DK on for now. I have the new Haro dropnose to go on, and have a new ad990 to fit on the rear, think I have a cable so just need a lever really. Having had a better look at the bike I was pleased to see the headtube sticker and the bottom bracket sticker still there too, so seems a big shame to strip it for paint. Took the newman cams stickers off too.

I can't wait to make a couple hours to sit in the garage with the radio on giving it a good strip down!

Gave the STA a good lookover today, and sorted/ replaced a couple bits. I took the cranks off and cleaned everything up, got them back to chrome now, they are in pretty nice condition, certainll goood enough for a rider. Same goes for the forks really, good enough for a rider. I changed the imperial chainring for a NOS whippet I had, as it had a slight bend in it. Chucked my NOS Haro dropnose on and binned the battered seat! Also chucked a real wheel off my DK on just to roll it about on while I sort the very bucked Hoffman/Alex wheel. Front has a slight buckle too, so will sort that, but rear needs real work, and needs bearings etc too i think.

I was pretty sure I was gonna leave the paint as is, but now I have some decals on the way, and noticing the rear was more chipped than I thought I might paint it after all. Also the rear dropouts need some love where they have been cut, its not too bad a job, but I'll tidy them a bit!

Heres a pic anyway, sorry to bore you all lol!
