If they were going to be used in anger  ???

I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

Bullseyes for me unless the issue with the weak axles has been resolved then maybe the Hutch ones but I wouldn't mind trying both of them  >:D

I wouldn't trust the Hutch pedals.

Buy a set of Crupi  :daumenhoch:

what he said or jp, i use both and, although not the biggest of jumpers, i dont spare them and they aint let me down, plus the tooth design is far grippier, go for squares too as they are soooooo comfortable :daumenhoch:

cant see the point if your going to use them allot id get a set of sealed black widows.  i dont race but i have them on my run about and they are by far the best pedal ive ever had. .  bet they are great for racing and you could get yourself 3 sets with that sort of dough.

(i have gas pedals on my rider and they int as good as the widows for cranking it down the street)

that being said those bullseyes are tasty as are crupis and jp racing.

Im down to the same 2 pedal options for a regular rider, any more pros / cons between Bullseye and Crupi?

What was the value of the pedals you paid tax on? I'm trying to buy a music production toy from US, it was $395 + $65 post. Bloke said he'd do customs form for $198 but I still think I'll get stung.  Threshold is £105 I think and they take postage cost in to account. If that's all correct then it could be about $150 - $160 maximum value before they have you.

The price I paid was $230 for a set of pedals and a spare set of cages but for some reason the cost they put on the box was higher $298 +$30 p+p? Weird, so I got a nasty 40quid custom charge!

I dont understand these charges and sometimes I recckon that customs just sit there with a fishing rod pulling random packages out of the bags and then pick a number out of the air!

Ive had a lot of stuff delivered from the states more expensive than these pedals that just comes straight through to me but then Ive had some cheap bits and pieces that Ive had to pay random amounts on just to get them released. Dunno where they get the figures from. At first I thought it was anything tracked but it aint that, doesnt necessarily seem to be insured stuff either. Just plain weird and random!  :-\

Still isnt this a luvvery box of tricks!  :smitten:

I was reading up about it last night - Customs duty free allowance is £105, but VAT is a separate matter. Your allowance for that is £18 for commercial items, £36 for a gift. The are some things that are duty free, it said stuff like wii's and laptops. Different items have different tax brackets. Bikes were 14% so I guess parts would be the same. Then if parcel force pay the fee's upfront it was £8. Other couriers can be about £14. And it was pot luck if you get nabbed, saying too much passes through to stay on top of it all.  I had some hits and misses over the years. Xmas might be a good time to shop if it is pot luck with the extra volume of parcels coming in overwhelming them.
