Make sure there is no paint in the bb. Are the threads handed depending on what side? Havnt fitted a euro for years so I cant remember.

pretty sure you have to have the bb cleaned!!before you use it on new frame by your local bike shop

My Macneil Friemuth had a euro bb and it went together ok from new as it happens..  Be aware though, I'm pretty certain one of those threads will be left handed.  Or so I believe, t'was a while ago...

:) Small wire brush on the threads may help to get rid of any burrs/paint(Go round the threads not across). And plenty of grease.Clean the paint of the outside of the bb shell where the cup butts up against the frame for a better fit & don`t forget your tube spacer.
