Think they did them in light brown & raw at some point as well.

The Next Gen was an "updated" Dirtbike. Made stronger, but much heavier. I could be wrong, but I dont think S&M have ever offered a complete bike (apart from that 16" wheeled bike).

I got a Next Gen dirtbike in 1997 and it was one of the first ones. It was so heavy, not helped by the fact that its quite a short frame, that I hated it. It was the frame that made he have a rethink about riding such heavy bikes.

The first ones had that "Thrasher" sticker on the toptube, but they also had a very thin foil (chrome or black) downtube decal that just said S&MBIKES, like it was written with a pen. I had the decal on my cruiser for a while.

I have a NG Dirtbike that has different decals to those mentioned, the down tube has the large decals that are in the middle of DSD's pic (same as on classic dirtbike downtube) the top, seat and headtube decals all have next gen on but different from any in this thread.

Just bought an NOS grey frame similar to S&Mcs old one . . . I'm guessing 2002ish . . . to replace my new school DK frame (I don't do lightweight - swapping back to MTB makes my Tazer feel like a heavy-ass D/H bike).  It'll be built up as a rider with whatever I can find under the stairs . . . can't promise it won't end up with a yellow or orange powdercoat at sometime in the future though (I miss my old one  :'(  ).  Watch this space . . .
