The Winter Series kicked off today, fresh faced from the clubs AGM.
We turned up at the club in howling winds and heavy showers and with a good turn out of 45 riders for all classes, some classic racing was had. As for the Old School, injuries, the weather and riders opting to have a shot at NS meant the OS field was limited to four hardy riders. Colin Jamieson took the honours winning all four motos. Your's truly come second battling all day with David Russell (3rd) and Richard Proctor (4th) doing well recovering from a shoulder injury. It felt like a Robinson sandwich at times with Colin and David riding a couple of slick bikes. Richards Haro was looking fab and my battered Supergoose did me proud. Having said that at the end of the days racing they all looked the same covered in a few layers of wet mud.
Despite the weather all riders had a great day, especially pushing each others cars out of the field!
